TM Forum Open API workshop lays firm foundations for zero-touch partnering
Joann O’Brien, Vice President, Digital Ecosystems, TM Forum, discusses the progress that developers from communications service providers and vendors made in creating Open API environments for zero-touch partnering (ZTP) during an Open API Spec Jam, hosted at Vodafone’s headquarters in December, and looks ahead to what she expects for digital ecosystem development in 2023.
The Open API Spec Jam set out to rapidly progress a series of key Open APIs, including those for ZTP. One of the achievements of the workshop was the creation of the ZTP API suite v1, which captures the essential suite of APIs required to enable multi-party partnering at scale.
The ZTP API suite v1 covers key functional areas, including the Ecosystem Factory, Partner Onboarding Management, Product Onboarding, Partner Event Management, Partner Problem Management.
As O'Brien looks forward to 2023, she sees opportunities to build upon the Open API foundations laid in 2022, so that it becomes simpler to map C-level decisions to digital maturity models, business architecture capability and key solutions and thereby accelerate digital transformation that drives growth.
