TelecomTV: Going fully digital – the experience of two mobile telco DSPs
TelecomTV is the official news partner of TM Forum’s Digital Transformation World Series (DTWS), which runs from October 7 to November 12. In addition to our own coverage of the event on Inform, we featured videos and article excerpts from TelecomTV journalists on Inform and in our Stay Informed weekly newsletter.
On a quest to highlight ways to greater DSP relevance – we called in on a session entitled Visible versus giffgaff models involving Mark Newman, Chief Analyst at TM Forum, Himanshu Niranjani, Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Verizon’s ‘Visible’, and Steven McDonald, Chief Operating & Technology Officer at giffgaff in the UK.
In fact, rather than this being an X versus Y occasion, as implied by its title, it was all about the joys of being a properly digital service provider; what the advantages have been so far; and how well the two operators had weathered the pandemic. The two officers were pretty much in violent agreement.
