The role of digital twins in autonomous networks

Network technology change, from planning to deployment or upgrading networks, to efficient operations and maintenance, and fault management, are costly actions for CSPs and can negatively impact network performance and customer experience. Service diversity makes network assurance increasingly complex, potentially inhibiting the introduction of new services.

AI and autonomous networks (AN) implementation can be especially challenging, if there is a lack of clarity about the impact of AN use cases on the network, so CSPs require cross-domain visibility into network behaviour.

Digital twin networks are becoming more widely used by CSPs as a powerful tool for visualising their network assets, planning for change, and detecting faults for more efficient remediation. CSPs can also use digital twins to test use cases outside of the physical domain, saving cost and enabling more experimentation with new service propositions before they go live. Digital twins are increasingly inter-related to successful AI and AN deployment.

This webinar presents highlights from our forthcoming Digital Twins in Autonomous Networks trend report, together with a panel discussion on challenges related to network technology change, AN drivers for digital twin networks, and best practices for digital twin operations.

Join us to learn how digital twin networks can help CSPs:

  • Continuously assure and self-optimize the physical network
  • Identify vulnerabilities, improve fault tolerance and management
  • Improve implementation of AI and autonomous networks
  • Operate more cost- and energy-efficient networks
  • Deliver network experience excellence
