How a cloud native approach to BSS helps CSPs to reap 5G benefits

Communication service providers (CSP) are exploring new ways to monetize 5G networks and achieve new growth, but not enough attention is being paid to the “box in the middle” or how to drive a cloud-native approach to OSS/BSS. Justin Reilly, CEO of Wavelo, notes that the customer has to move through the BSS stack “to the network and back”, so it’s important for CSPs to get this right. In his view, earlier fears of the public cloud are “all but falling away”, and CSPs are now more prepared to put mission-critical systems in the cloud.
