AI and GenAI will drive autonomous operations

While Generative AI has the potential to make telecom networks more conversational and aligned to vertical industries and enterprise ecosystems, it will also be central to CSP strategies for autonomous operations, according to Jitin Bhandari, CTO & VP for Cloud and Network Services at Nokia. But understanding the technologies behind GenAI to build telco-specific will be a challenge for most CSPs, along with having the right people and skills and establishing the governance needed for responsible AI.
