Leveling up: achieving Level 3 autonomous networks and beyond

Autonomous networks (ANs) are revolutionizing telecoms network management. They are designed to configure, operate and optimize themselves without human intervention, providing zero-touch, zero-wait and zero-trouble services.

Some communications service providers (CSPs) already have ambitious strategies to automate their networks, and machine learning and AI are helping them to make rapid advancements in levels of autonomy. In this report we examine in detail how some operators are progressing, and reveal the results of a survey of 97 CSP decision-makers to gauge general progress in AN deployment in the industry.

Read this report to understand:

  • Why investment in automation is accelerating
  • What business goals and visions are driving AN adoption
  • How CSPs are prioritizing areas for automation
  • Challenges to deploying ANs
  • How AN practices are being implemented in real-world network deployments by AIS, China Mobile, Orange and others.
