Geolocation has long been used by communications service providers (CSPs) to deliver personal, targeted services to customers. Geolocation data captured by mobile networks is increasingly rich, enabling CSPs to support a range of services such as mission-critical communications, asset tracking and location-based advertising. Now, in conjunction with 5G networks – and in particular 5G standalone networks with a native 5G core – CSPs can move services to the next level, providing greater accuracy and richer data insights.
