TM Forum's Open APIs win IT industry awards

TM Forum’s collaboration teams and people have scooped up several awards at the prestigious Annual International Business Awards – widely known as the Stevie Awards - and the Best in Biz Awards International.

The Forum’s Open Application Programming Interfaces (API) Tooling IT Team took away a prize from both sets of judges. It won a gold award in the IT Team of the Year category in the Stevies and a gold award for Technology Department of the Year category 2022 from Best in Biz.

The Open API Tooling Team comprises people from TM Forum, Telenor, Oracle, Vodafone, and CityFibre, who worked collaboratively over a 12-month period to successfully develop a groundbreaking system that supports the creation of specifications automatically. Open APIs play an important role in digital transformation, with TM Forum members having downloaded more than 500,000 of them.

Vicky Sleight, Vice President, Human Factor and EDI - TM Forum , won the bronze award from the Stevies for the Woman of the Year category for her work on “Driving the Global Telco DE&I Agenda”.

And the Stevies gave TM Forum’s Digital Transformation World Series (DTW) 2021 a silver award for the Conferences & Meetings - Tech Event category. Our next annual DTW will take place 20-22 September in Copenhagen.

TM Forum also received silver awards for two more categories, Company of the Year – Telecommunications and Organization of the Year - Non-Profit, for the nomination "Collaboration Among TM Forum Members Drives Global Industry Innovation in 2021”.
