"TM Forum Open APIs have become a critical requirement for both our existing customers and prospective opportunities" - Michael Fleming, Senior Product Manager, Hansen
My API Story: Standardizing onboarding experiences
I serve as the Product Manager for Hansen CCB, Hansen’s complete, efficient, All-in-one Digital BSS (Business Support System) solution. I am responsible for ensuring that the solution empowers our clients with the agility to efficiently design, monetize, and manage the evolving digital service needs of their customers and partners.
In the context of our current Hansen All-in-one Digital BSS offering, our customers gain new integration and innovation benefits through:
TMF632 – Party Management
TMF629 – Customer Management
TMF666 – Account Management
TMF651 – Agreement Management
As an all-in-one business solution, we set out to empower our communication service provider (CSP) customers by simplifying access to partners – product partners and resellers – through a seamless, standardized onboarding experience, supporting their growth every step of the way. As the partner market continues to evolve for CSPs, the Open APIs and their related components will play an active role in enabling those CSPs to evolve and innovate at scale.
Following our existing unified partner onboarding experience, we expose TM Forum Open APIs to enable our clients’ partners to onboard and manage their information through a standardized, streamlined process. This approach minimizes friction and significantly reduces the need for custom integration, enhancing overall efficiency, market agility and innovation.
TM Forum Open APIs have become a critical requirement for both our existing customers and prospective opportunities. As operators seek to modernize their ecosystems, they are increasingly focused on understanding not only the APIs we currently support but also those planned on our development roadmap. Our commitment to adopting these standards has heightened interest and enthusiasm around Hansen CCB, with growing engagement across multiple markets—driven in large part by our proven ability to support TM Forum Open APIs and ODA-aligned components.
These APIs will be released to our customers as part of the Hansen CCB 2025 offering, scheduled for launch in August of this year. We are seeing strong interest in their adoption—not only from our existing customer base of more than 70 broadband, mobile and pay-media service providers, but also from a range of prospective clients seeking a robust, adaptive multi-brand marketplace solution.
TM Forum’s Open APIs enables open-standard partner integration and complement our flexible integration framework and core APIs in areas like payments, ERP, and General Ledger. This best-of-breed approach offers our customers greater levels of flexibility and adaptability.
As CSPs continue to evolve with new and exciting partner models, the TM Forum Open API program enables them to do so in a simpler, more open and agile way.
