Autonomous networks: Business and operational drivers
Telecoms operators see autonomous networks as the key to transforming their own internal operations and to digitizing other industries. To deliver autonomous network capabilities in the 5G era, communications service providers (CSPs) need a simplified network architecture, virtualized components, automating agents and intelligent decision engines. This survey aims to gather opinion, perspective and consensus from CSPs on the business and operational drivers for automation. It will underpin a forthcoming series of reports from TM Forum’s Research & Media team.
There are two parts to the survey. The first part covers the key drivers and benefits of automation. The second section goes into more specifics about different levels of automation. We recognise that not all of our respondents will have the relevant insights or expertise to complete this second section.
