ZTE shows the path to unlocking autonomous networks’ full potential
Autonomous networks (AN) are advancing rapidly in 2025 due to the three trends, according to Zhang Wanchun, Senior Vice President, ZTE.
First, large AI models and intelligent agents are making networks smarter and more automated. Second, faster standardization and practical implementations are supported by frameworks like TM Forum's AN rating and business value management. Third, global collaboration is growing with over 900 companies from 111 countries working together in theforum.
He believes AN Level 4 networks will become more common and are the key to transforming the telecom industry. Hence ZTE emphasizes “a clear path to high level AN, technological breakthroughs, collaboration on standards, real-world implementation and building a robust ecosystem.”
Zhang supplies examples of how ZTE has done this to date and how it plans to proceed. This includes the company continuing to share expertise and experience to advance high-value use cases and help operators reach Level 4 AN in more areas to unlock AN’s full potential.
