Operators globally are looking to get return on their considerable investments in 5G networks. Etiya’s VP of Product Development, Olgay Taş, outlines two main strategies for operators: connectivity-driven and use case-driven monetization. He discusses the different capabilities that will enable operators to generate new revenues, and the need to upgrade network infrastructure, adapt operational models and develop new partnerships. In addition, he says, they will need to move to modern software development techniques, processes and tools, such as DevOps, and move to cloud-native, microservices-based based architectures.
