How does your GenAI strategy measure up? Key findings from our Generative AI Maturity Interactive Tool
In 2024 TM Forum partnered with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to launch the Generative AI Maturity Interactive Tool (GAMIT). The aim was to help CSPs understand the issues that need attention in their organizations in order to accelerate the deployment of generative AI (GenAI) at scale. Together we identified six different categories or pillars which, when combined, provide a quick snapshot of an operator’s GenAI maturity.
There were two phases to the rollout of GAMIT. In the first phase we conducted a global online survey of AI decision-makers at CSPs. These results were then fed into an online tool to give GAMIT respondents the opportunity to compare themselves with their regional and global peers.
While the initial survey and findings were carried out between June and the end of August 2024, GAMIT remained open from August 2024 to March 2025. In that period more than 1,000 individuals logged onto the tool. In total we had 408 responses from 186 operators in 80 countries.
In this final summary report we present a roundup of the results of the survey with key findings and analysis for each pillar.
