Ethio Telecom gets ready for the internet of things

Ethiopia’s Ethio Telecom is more than 120 years old, but in the past six years alone its subscriber base has increased ten-fold, from 6 million to 60 million. Today the company is preparing for rapid scaling of the internet of things, as Muez Yihdego, Chief Customer Service Officer, Ethio Telecom, tells Tony Poulos during an interview at TM Forum Live!

“It will be so important to be prepared starting from now because we already have a lot of challenges in terms of providing quality customer experience, in terms of securing and protecting the privacy of our customers,” Yihdego says. “We will be surprised if we are not well prepared… Being prepared means offering personalized services.”
